Multiple mystery lights (MLs) moving back and
forth at about 150 feet altitude against background mesas (May 8, 2004)

|
Does anyone really think this is a car
light (incredibly, some people do)? This ML is climbing gradually as it
flies left to right reaching an estimated altitude of about 250 feet
above ground level where it expands dramatically and extinguishes.
Notice the large gap. This is a region of Mitchell Flat with no
obstructions. I speculate that mystery light visibility is produced
by a combustion process (see photograph of core element above) that some
times runs out of fuel causing a gap in visibility. The hot center
continued moving right in this case until it encountered more fuel
enabling visibility for a short time. |
